This self-directed course is designed to provide training in Person-Centred Optometric Care for People With Special Needs.

This online Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course contains several parts with information that is relevant to the training.

Person-centred Optometric Care is about focusing care on the needs of individuals with special needs. More often than not, clinicians encounter people who cannot decide for themselves – due to a disability. Ensuring that people’s preferences, needs and values guide clinical decisions is crucial to Optometric care.

In this training, Optometrists will be armed with the skills needed to deliver Person-Centred Optometric Care.

You are required to read through each article and watch every video. You may opt to use our Artificial Intelligence Programme to follow the topics covered.

The Learning Management System detects and tracks user progress as it captures all digital footprints.

On completing this training, you will be automatically issued a 10 CPD training certificate. This counts towards the pre-requisite for license renewals.
